Summary of Iliad


               It started when Hecuba is giving birth to Paris. It was opposed by Cassandra because she believes that the baby (Paris) can cause the downfall of Troy so King Priam decided that the baby (Paris) should be throw away at the top of the hill he ordered it to one of his followers but the follower did not follow what King Priam has said maybe because he can't just throw away a life because of nothing so he just leave the baby (Paris) at the top of the mountain until a shepherd found the baby (Paris) and the shepherd named the baby Paris. Paris grew up with a simple life until he reached the right age or he became a man. One day when Paris was herding with his flock of sheep one of his sheep run away until the sheep hide into a cave . Paris meet there the three Goddess namely Aphrodite, Athena and Hera. There he saw Helen starting then he started loving Helen even though he didn't see Helen even any part of Helen's body in reality. One day the guards from the town of Troy arrested the shepherd Paris' Guardian, Paris tried to stop them but he was just hurt by them. He knew that in order for him to retrieve the shepherd he needs to join the upcoming battle of th greatest warrior around troy and its neighboring places. So Paris joined the contest and he won against the greatest warriors of different places and against the warrior of troy Hector. Because he won against them he wished that his father ( Shepherd ) should be set free by the Trojans but when he was stating what reward he wanted to get King Priam and Hecuba noticed and felt that the guy in front of them was none other than their son Paris. The whole Troy was shocked when Priam announced that Paris was his Son and he will be titled as one of the prince of Troy. So the life of Paris changed until one day Priam ordered that Paris should go to Sparta for the peace treaty but when Paris saw Helen he remembered what he saw on the cave. He felt the love inside his heart and after the ceremony Helen tried to commit suicide. He tried to jump over the tower but Paris stopped him. Clytemnestra saw them together. Paris now realized on how Spartans treated Women he felt love and Mercy for Helen. Paris was imprisoned in Troy but Helen helped him to be set free and when Paris was set free and rode on the boat Helen jumped into the water to follow Paris and they both went home to Troy, They arrived to Troy and King Priam at first was disappointed on what Paris have done. He continuously asked what Helen was doing there. Paris said that he loved Helen and Helen loved him. King Menelaus and King Odysseus went to Troy to retrieve Helen. King Priam wandered the situation of Helen in Sparta and thought of the love of both of them. So he decided to keep Helen at their side. So the war began and at the first part of the war Spartans were losers because the Trojans were very prepared when they attacked. Trojans used archers to kill the warriors of Spartans they used barricade in order for them not to be kill by the soldiers with sword. Hector was killed by Achilles using a spear. Paris killed Achilles using an arrow and a bow. So the Spartans thought of way to set aside the Trojans preparedness. They made a giant Horse and they sent it to the Trojans to serve as their peace offering so the Trojans decided to accept it. They didn't know that inside of it were it so the Trojans was defeated by Spartans. Paris was killed by Agamemnon through stabbing  his body by a dagger. Agamemnon was killed by his wife Clytemnestra.


Summary of Odyssey


                 It started when Penelope queen of Ithaca was giving birth to Telemachus. Even though Telemachus was a baby Odysseus flew away to help the Spartans in fighting the Trojans. He was the one who thought of the Trojan horse. After the Trojan war, He went into the sea and proclaimed that he was mighty of defeating Trojans. He didn't acknowledge how Poseidon ( God of the sea ) helped them. Poseidon sent a sea serpent to kill Laocoon the Son of Priam who opposed of bringing the Horse inside their castle. When Odysseus proclaimed that was mighty of what he did, Poseidon got mad at him and Poseidon wanted to say to Odysseus that man is nothing without Gods. So when Odysseus was travelling together with he's army of men. They experienced many problems or obstacles. First is the Cyclopes or Polyphemus the son of Poseidon. Second is the God of wind who helped them to get wind in order for them to go home as fast as possible. They were near to Ithaca when one of his mens opened the bag full of strong winds that leads them to go away in Ithaca believing that the bag was full of Golds. They reached the island of Circe. They have searched for food and water. Because Circe was a witch she made all of his visitors animals but Odysseus was not made animals by Circe because Gods helped him by sending Hermes ( Gods messenger ) to help him and to give him Moly the plant eaten by Odysseus to prevent Circe's spell. He slept for 5 days inside Circe's palace but 5years outside the palace. They traveled until they reached the underworld. They were attacked by Scylla and Charybdis and only Odysseus survived. Odysseus reached the island of calypso and stayed there for more years and then he was escorted or brought to Ithaca. There he meet the three suitors of Penelope. Athena helped him so that the suitors will not know his identity. One day a challenge was given by Penelope to her suitors but no one did it except Odysseus. Odysseus killed all of suitors including their guards. And they lived happily ever after.


Compare and Contrast Helen and Penelope


                  The two woman said earlier where the two main characters in Iliad and Odyssey. Helen and Penelope both wait for the love to come for them. Helen was so beautiful so that almost all men including his brother has intention of loving her. Penelope was beautiful also but his suitors were finding Gold not Love so that they planned to court Penelope to get Ithaca. Both of them has many love in their lives but only one still runs in their heart.


                  Helen was searching fr her true love while Penelope waited for her love one to come back. They have different situations in their lives but they both experience how hard it is to love wholeheartedly.

LOVE can change a person's life and every person has his own vision about LOVE. When LOVE came, tears are ready to fall from your eyes but it is only our destiny that can say if we will be crying because of happiness or because of pain. LOVE a four letter word that changes even a tiny part of life, a very powerful word but most people use to play with it. Love can bring joy and happiness, can give comfort and can kill an innocent person.

LOVING somebody is not an easy task especially if your loved one is a million miles away from you. If you LOVE somebody, would you fight for her until your last breath even you are a million miles away from each other? And would you continue loving her despite a thousand problems that you have to encounter?

The question given to us is If you were Paris, would you pursue loving Helen? Would you bring Helen to Troy even if it may cause so much distress in your land? my answer is YES, If i were Paris will continue loving her and i will even bring her to our homeland just to keep her away from those people who treated her like an animal. As a man, i'll protect her no matter what situation it is and I'll make sure that she'll be fine at all times. I'll prove to her that I love her and i'm willing to sacrifice what I have for her. I'll bring her to our place even if i know that it'll create a war between two parties. 


Despite of all the trial that emerged, I know that LOVE will win in the end. 

Blog Blah Blah!™

The 26th Founding Anniversary of our school officially commenced last February 14, 2011 with wildfire of experiences from the lightning of the torch and from the heat of the inspiring message delivered by our school principal. Several activities were held such as the parade and the “Mr. and Ms. Intrams” leaving the audience with straight faces for their amazement with each candidate’s prowess.


As part of the celebration, joint worship was first on the list the following day. After that, every year level demonstrated their one of a kind performance that made the judges be surprised. On the third day, the sports activities were officially started and sad to say that our team was failed of having just one win in basketball and volleyball. :D 1st game of volleyball our opponent was the team of Rachel. They were so excellent in playing the sport. Our 2nd game basketball, it was a close fight between us and the team of Leah. We did our best but unfortunately we lost again :D. 3rd game basketball, We lost as usual, hahaha :D Our opponent was none other than our alliance the team of Solomon. 4th and the last game volleyball, It was a great fight between us and the team of Solomon but we lost again. Definitely, Team david was eliminated at the gme already even the first day of the ball game competition.


At the fourth and last day, the anniversary was a blast with several more highlights of different activities.The program ended last February 18 but the legacy of our school continue to flourish.
